ABOUT LAURA D'ORSI. Michael Allman, son of the legendary Gregg Allman, heard her voice at a photo shoot and immediately began coaching her musical career. He encourages her growth by telling her to sing all the time and believe little that people promise in an industry full of talkers. Both love music - not money - however, with songs like "If Dreams Were Money" and her original "Heartbreak" by her and co-writer Steve Riley, you can feel the weight of the world sitting upon their shoulders. She produces TV, DVDs, and creates a network without trying as a versatile independent contractor. As she quotes: "people like genuine people".
With many bands Laura loves to sing with, it is hard to tag her down at one spot. But she hosts a jam night at Casablancas Lounge and Tiki Beach HOT SPOT (321-799-2251) located at 231 Minutemen Cswy in Cocoa Beach, FL with Steve Riley - her jam buddy and friend who enjoys playing at benefits and such when she is not touring with Michael or playing with another band.
